Greetings, I am Rebecca Pless—a dedicated Domestic Engineer and the creative force propelling Adirondack Highland Designs forward. My passion for design fuels me as I embrace the dual roles of owner and Head Designer. Woven into the intricate tapestry of my life are four exceptional children—two sons and two daughters—gifts that grace my days. Walking alongside me on this enriching journey is my steadfast husband, a source of unwavering support for two decades, a true partner in every adventure. The dawn of this new chapter ignites our spirits with exhilaration, as we eagerly anticipate the vast horizons it promises to unveil.
Our abode rests within the tranquil embrace of the Northern Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, a small mountain town that cradled my upbringing. In the very dwelling my father crafted, I now reside, a living testament to both ancestral legacy and the cyclical nature of life. A town that boasts a population of merely 700 souls, friends, and neighbors—our community forms an intimate and tightly-knit tapestry. Our essential landmarks cluster together—a PreK-12 grade school nurturing around 100 young minds, a modest store and gas station, a cozy bar, and a steadfast post office. In these simple elements, life finds its gentle rhythm.
My lineage, deeply rooted in creative pursuits, boasts an array of gifted artists, musicians, skilled stone masons, and masterful builders of rustic furniture. However, despite the unmistakable echoes of talent that reverberate within me, I’ve often hesitated to fully embrace my own creative essence. The struggles life presented cast shadows that held me back from this self-discovery.
Yet, as life’s kaleidoscope turned, my expectations underwent a profound shift over the past half-decade. Each day is now a treasure, every experience a chance to embrace existence fully. Amidst this newfound perspective, a serendipitous encounter with captivating rocks awakened an artistry I’d long kept dormant. Among these stones lay a singular gem, one that only unveiled its true magnificence when cracked open—a mosaic of diverse minerals, prominently graced by the enchanting Blue Calcite. This exquisite gemstone, not only the muse for my creations but a balm for the soul, finds its form in exquisite jewelry, intricate tables, and home decor that marries aesthetics with purpose.
Beneath its alluring surface, Blue Calcite harbors a tranquil power—an ability to gently dissolve anxiety, usher in serenity, and dissolve the burdens of negativity.
